Aaron’s is looking for a Content Strategist to work within our highly collaborative, agency-like, marketing  department. We are building a ‘best in class’ brand by re-imagining everything from today’s customer perspective, and our content strategist will lead the execution of a consistent brand voice across many channels.The person in this role must be a highly creative leader and passionate about retail and eCommerce storytelling. They will be responsible for expressing that passion and excitement to customers through engaging copy across marketing channels including direct mail, email, social media, content, SEO, display ads and video.


  • Write high quality, customer-focused eCommerce content, including persuasive copy for product pages and landing pages
  • Develop quarterly blog content calendar and write 8 corresponding blogs a month
  • Ensure content follows Search Engine Optimization best practices set by the digital marketing team and external agency partners
  • Develop a process with the merchandising team to obtain, review and optimize product information
  • Proof copy for consistency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with Aaron’s brand standards and style guide
  • Create and maintain an editorial content calendar in collaboration with broader marketing team


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising or Marketing
  • Minimum of 4-5 years copy-writing experience in the retail industry
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, copy-editing, and proofreading skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Ability to understand and implement content optimization techniques for SEO
  • Experience with Google’s Keyword Tool
