The Director will drive the visual merchandising presentation of all merchandise categories in the company in partnership with the DMM and CMO.This includes layout of the categories in-store, category adjacencies within the store, vignette layout and presentation and enhancements to include but not limited to imagery, accessories, etc. This position is part of Aaron’s Buying Team and reports to the DMM.The role works cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, e-Commerce, and influences our store operations merchandising and visual coordinators with guidance on best practices and corporate guidelines.Improving our current execution, bringing the company a more contemporary visual standard will be key.The, should be a dynamic individual who is comfortable leading through challenges, articulating their vision, and uses a strong degree of influence, rather than direct reports, to accomplish goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Directs brand visual presentation standards in conjunction with the merchants and ensure they are followed

·Creates compelling tools to ensure the visual merchandising direction is applied across all stores

·Results oriented, this person should understand what drives the business and how visual merchandising can improve results

·Develops passion for our customer and how we satisfy their needs and aspirations

·Works cross functionally with Store Operations to guide Division Merchandisers and Merchandising Coordinators in the field

·Accessorizes furniture buys to ensure overall look of the showroom

·Maintains internal visual supply website with appropriate accessories

·Partners with Store Development and Merchandising team to execute new store openings and appropriate product placement and visual appeal within the store

·Manages Quarterly Hot Zone execution in coordination with the DMM and merchants (layout, presentation, guidance)

·Partners with the Marketing and eCommerce teams on pre-and post-production for any shoots in which the result will be customer facing (prop sourcing, styling, etc.)

·Actively involved with GenNext store execution: product presentation, floor placement/layouts, accessory merchandising (art, tabletop, rugs)

·Dynamically communicate vision for stores at regional meetings

Store map development: work with DMM, merchants, and real-estate team to develop store planograms.

·Effectively communicates to all levels of the organization merchandising strategy and direction for an upcoming quarter. Responsible for communicating merchandising vision and strategy to internal and external groups
Communicates vision for visual merchandising to Franchisees

Education and Experience:

·Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or related experience

Minimum 10 years of Visual Merchandising experience

Required Skills and Competencies:

·Ability to give presentations to large groups and/or Senior Leadership

·Ability to work on cross-functional teams

·Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast-paced environment

·Display detail-oriented approach to work

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

·Proficiency in CAD floor planning software

·Ability to travel as needed

·Ability to execute Company and Merchandising strategic initiatives

·Strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve, as well as develop new concepts

·Ability to deal with physical rigors of store set up (climbing ladders, moving product, etc.)
