Interested in becoming a Finance Manager (FP&A) at Aaron’s? You will be responsible for providing both day-to-day insights and big picture analysis to help optimize performance across Aaron's business units. This position will need to attain a deep understanding of our business. This position will have high visibility and exposure within the business and collaborate with subject matter experts both within Finance and across the company. The candidate will be required to leverage financial and business knowledge to influence senior leadership and help formulate recommendations related to the company's corporate strategy or operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large sets of data for incorporation into the plan.

  • Assist with development of quarterly guidance.

  • Build complex financial models (i.e., Microsoft Excel) and conduct high-quality business, market, and competitor analyses on an ad hoc basis.

  • Create and maintain company-wide financial plan as well as monthly analyses and quarterly projections.

  • Analyze large sets of data for incorporation into the plan.

  • Partner with operational finance to ensure that targets are aligned with company objectives and goals.

  • Track and analyze forecasts vs. budget; identifying key risks and opportunities; ensure all risks and opportunities are appropriately reflected in the forecast and forward projections.

  • Assist with key management presentations.

  • Use financial analysis and other quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess a broad array of business issues and distill them into key items and proposed actions.

  • Create, support, prioritize and execute strategic initiatives across Aaron's.

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Must be able to partner with data teams in IT to resolve data issues.

This includes the ability to describe or explain complex processes and issues in a concise manner.
  • Persuasion and collaboration – Nurtures and builds effective partnerships with clients to achieve results; team player, comfortable working on multiple teams/projects simultaneously and independently, as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7 years of experience in Finance or Accounting roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • MBA or CPA license is a plus but not required.
