Summary:

Responsible for providing both day-to-day insights and big picture analysis to help optimize performance across Aaron's business units. The senior manager will provide overall leadership in innovating, building and monitoring risk solutions that increase the value of underwriting for leasing operations. This position will have high visibility and exposure within the business and collaborate with subject matter experts across the company. The candidate will be required to leverage financial and business knowledge to influence senior leadership and help formulate recommendations related to the company's corporate strategy or operations. This position will have 2 direct reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead and develop a team of highly skilled associates. Includes recruitment and setting of appropriate objectives and effective development plans for the team.
  • Designs and maintain standard reporting dashboards for regular product and portfolio reviews
  • Utilize statistical and analytical techniques to provide insights into behavior of specific customer segments
  • Develop new financial forecast models and dashboards to facilitate deeper understanding and tracking of business performance relative to expectations
  • Track and analyze forecasts vs. budget; identifying key risks and opportunities; ensure all risks and opportunities are appropriately reflected in the forecast and forward projections
  • Conduct ROI analysis to evaluate profitability of existing/new strategies
  • Use financial analysis and other quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess a broad array of business issues and distill them into key items and proposed actions
  • Create, support, prioritize and execute strategic initiatives across Aaron's
  • Translate complex statistical models and methodologies into simple business terms

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:

·Bachelor’s degree required

·8-10+ years relevant experience

·1-2 years supervisory experience

·MBA or CPA license a plus but not required

Required Skills and Competencies:

·High level of proficiency in SQL, SAS, Excel and/or other statistical data analytic tools.

·Strong understanding of forecasting and financial statements

·Strong business intuition to identify opportunities to apply modeling/analytics to drive value for internal customers

·Knowledge of tools, methods and processes used to make business predictions; ability to use the tools, processes and practices for predicting business trends and providing forecasts that drive business decisions and business planning.
