Senior Strategy Analyst

The Senior Strategy Analyst will support the development of short- and long-term strategies for Aaron’s and work cross-functionally across departments to identify, analyze and deliver new opportunities that drive forward the company’s strategic objectives. The role with work on a variety of projects from growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, process / operations improvements, and more.

The role will report into the Senior Director of Strategy. The role will have high visibility and exposure within the organization and will collaborate with subject matter experts and senior leaders in departments across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the company to gather data and insights, analyze opportunities, and deliver strategic recommendations
  • Conduct benchmarking, best practices, and other competitor assessment studies
  • Analyze inorganic opportunities such as new markets for expansion, mergers and acquisitions targets, and investment opportunities
  • Gain buy-in for and enable management to execute on recommendations
  • Support preparation of agendas / topics / materials for Board and other executive meetings in conjunction with other business leaders
  • Maintain responsibility for deliverables and timelines, shifting priorities as needed, and managing stakeholder relationships and expectations

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative/analytical field
  • 2-5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or related field
  • Experience in Retail and / or FinTech industries a plus but not required
  • Experience working and communicating with different stakeholders across an organization
  • Experience performing financial analysis, analytical modeling, and data analysis in Excel
  • Experience creating and editing executive-level presentations in PowerPoint

Required Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Forward-thinking and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
