Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will work within a collaborative omnichannel team, supporting

the growth of a national brand, retail initiatives and ecommerce development. Working

closely with the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Specialist will be responsible for

research, content creation, reporting and campaign management across our social media

channels.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Regularly meet with team members to understand and develop multi-channel
  • marketing strategies
  • Assist with the creation of compelling, social-first content that is educational,
  • engaging and platform-specific.
  • Monitor social platforms and campaigns for community reception, engagement and
  • advertising efficacy
  • Analyze content performance and identify opportunities for testing and
  • improvement
  • Research up-and-coming trends, influencers, brand ambassadors and other
  • potential areas of interest for brand development
  • Work closely with corporate and franchise management to monitor and develop
  • social media strategy on a local level

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, self-starter, and a possess strong sense of teamsmanship.
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize and communicate project status to senior
  • leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field; relevant work
  • experience to be considered as well
  • Strong communication skills, including writing, editing and copy-editing
  • Understanding of and experience with social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter,
  • Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
