Summary:

The FC Manager manages the day to day operations of the fulfillment center while achieving operational goals and ensuring service results are met and adhering to approved budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of logistics professionals that can include assistant managers, support managers, transportation managers, CDL & Short Haul drivers, maintenance workers, equipment operators and warehouse associates.
  • Manage Class A and Class B delivery fleet

·Ensure product is received, placed in storage for store orders ensuring they are properly received, processed and delivered timely to each store location.

·Accountable for employee engagement while building a positive culture, labor planning, interviewing and hiring of required staff, providing corrective actions and terminations of staff, controlling costs to meet submitted budgets, productivity, customer service, safety and EBITDA.

  • Maintains a close working relationship with Regional, Corporate and Store Managers; by actively maintaining communications for any opportunity to improve operations/service

·Examine historical location data and current industry trends to present a yearly budget for submittal and review. Maintain operational practices to stay within the finalized budget throughout the fiscal year

  • Remain current with trends and technologies related to warehousing/ distribution and transportation

·Passcode & Key Holder-ability to open and close the store.

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferredin transportation, business or related area
  • Experience in the transportation industry with deep knowledge of operations and logistics.

  • Ability to evaluate and develop individuals, provide coaching and promote team building in order to meet goals/standards of productivity
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions in market as they effect product flow, product handling, and customer service requirements
  • Ability and willingness to delegate tasks and authority while retaining accountability for departmental performance
  • Ability to formulate a budget and maintain facility operations within budgetary parameters
  • Learn and Use various computer applications
  • Must be flexible, willing to work any schedule, including weekends and holidays, in all types of weather.

  • Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)

Standing:

  • Occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of time)

Walking:

  • Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)

Working Conditions:

Office Environment Exposure to climate-controlled environment and may encounter sounds/noises of moderate levels.

Retail/Warehouse Environment Exposure to varying temperatures and may include working inside and outside in heat/cold.May encounter sounds/noises of varying levels.
